As our world grapples with the daily impact of COVID-19, I am reminded of how we all came together after September 11th. I am hopeful, as we head into the fall, that the division that has negatively impacted parts of the world, and has damaged some countries ability to meaningfully manage this pandemic will be finally cast aside.
I am hopeful, that despite differing political beliefs, people will think of others first. I am hopeful that people will recommit to social distancing, wear masks properly and without issue, and wash their hands. If new protocols arise, I am hopeful we will take care of each other and follow the new guidelines and not look at this like a game or a political stunt.
We cannot move forward if we do not tackle this time in history with compassionate hearts and serious minds. Think of how we came together after 9/11.
We all came together then. We are all in this together now.
