I don’t get out as much as I would like with my “big” cameras these days. I managed to find some time (before the full-on heat of the Dubai summer kicks in) to head out and capture some long exposure night images.
The cityscape of Dubai is like the shifting sands in the surrounding desert. Nothing stays still and like the fluctuating sand dunes of the desert, there is something new being developed in the city all the time. Experts cautiously estimate that 15% to 25% of the world's cranes are in Dubai. I am sure if I were to return to this spot in a year’s time, that things would be quite different.
The summer means unbearable heat, and sadly, due to COVID-19, there will be no trip to Mexico to escape the furnace that is the UAE in the summer months. Hopefully, things will cool down, and the world will return to some semblance of normalcy in time for EXPO 2020.
